The following are some frequently asked questions
and answers covering problems you may encounter when using or installing Art
Attack. You can also view these and other solutions in the
Electronic Booklet, accessed by selecting Start, then Run from your
Windows
desktop, and typing D:\EBooklet.htm (where D is the letter indicating
your CD-ROM drive).
Please note, if you are using Windows® XP, you must be logged
on as a user with Administration rights in order to install Art
Attack.
Q: I am prompted to insert the Art Attack CD-ROM when I start the
programme
A: In order to run the Art
Attack you will need to have
the CD-ROM located in your CD drive. If you have installed more than
one of
the CD’s then you can use any one of the CD-ROM’s.
Q: I have already installed the Art Attack
CD-ROM, but am prompted to install it again when i reinsert the
same CD-ROM
A: In order to install the Art
Attack you will need to be logged on as a user with Administration
rights. If you ignore the on-screen warning and install the disc
without being a user with Administration rights, the disc will
not detect that it has been installed correctly. Please log-on
as a user with Administration rights. If you are unsure, please
ask the person who set-up your computer.
Q: The installation does not finish
A: Art
Attack requires approximately 250MB of free space on your
computer's hard drive. Please ensure that you have sufficient free
space available on your computer's hard drive.
Q:
How many Art Attack CD-ROM’s are there to collect?
A: There
are four different Art Attack CD-ROM’s to collect
from special packs of Kellogg’s cereal. They are: Games & Stuff,
Building Stuff, My Stuff and Party Stuff.
Q: How do I know which
Art Attack CD-ROM’s I have installed?
A: When you insert an
Art Attack CD-ROM into your CD drive, it will automatically detect
if the disc is installed and which other
discs
you have previously installed.
When you run Art Attack, you will
see a screen at the end of Neil Buchanan’s which will show
you which of the four CD-ROM’s
you have installed on your computer. Q: Why do I get a blank sheet
of paper when I try to print?
A: This happens with some older printer
drivers. Firstly, make sure you are using the latest drivers for
your printer. These can
be obtained
from your printer manufacturer. If replacing the driver does not
work, it may be that the output resolution is too high. Try setting
the ‘Print Quality’ setting to 300 x 600 dpi.
Q: My printout is being cropped?
A: This may happen with some printer drivers for
specific operating systems. Please make sure you are using the
latest
drivers
for
your printer according to your version of Windows (some manufacturers
such as HP provide a different driver for Windows 2000 and Windows
XP). These can be obtained from your printer manufacturer.
Q: I’m
having problems with the picture quality.
A: Please ensure that
you are running Art Attack using a 800 x 600 display set to 24 bit
colour, and that you are using the latest
drivers available from your hardware supplier. If you need to
change
any settings on your computer, please consult your manual.
Q: When I click on Uninstall or Reinstall nothing happens.
A: Some older versions of Windows lose the link to the Uninstall
or Reinstall program on the CD-ROM. If this happens, insert the
Art Attack disc into the drive, select Start, then Run… and
type D:\setup.exe (where D:\ is the letter of your CD-ROM drive)
and click on OK. This will then run the Uninstall or Reinstall
program.
